iOS Games 2

Hanging with Friends
It's hangman, but when you pick your word you only have 12 letters to make your word.
What seems to be the norm with these cheaply made flash games, you have an online currency. This currency is either generated using the tile values on the letters or bought with real money (mug), and the letters score like their scrabble counterparts. Double/treble letter and word place markers appear at random before you choose your word to maybe encourage you to play a longer word, or to try to get a high scoring tile in a particular place in the word. You spend the online currency buying lifelines such as reviving a life, removing wrong letters or showing possible correct letters.

In summary, a fun game. Nicely presented (although not iPadded up).

iOS Games

I've bought an iPad 2. And now, as a superior being, I feel I should try some of the games you can only dream of playing. Unless you have an iPad. Or any other iTool.

So first on the list is:

Disc Drivin'
Basically, you're pushing a disc around a course by flicking it with your finger (or other appendage). It's all very nice and 3d and such, and the controls are as minimal as the could be. You flick your disc, and it moves in the direction you flick it.

There are powerups available such as turbo or stop which do exactly that.
The game is fun as a turn based multiplayer, and my first game against Becs was a great success. (I lost).
